Educational Purposes Only
Everything on this site, including the CPC calculator, benchmark data, and guides, is here to help you learn and plan. It's not professional financial, legal, or business advice. No part of this site should be treated as a substitute for that.
When you run a calculation, you're getting a math estimate based on numbers you typed in. That's useful for ballpark planning. But what you'll actually pay per click in a live Google or Meta auction depends on dozens of real-time factors that no calculator can predict. Use the results as a starting point, not a budget guarantee.
No Guarantee of Results
Two advertisers in the same industry can run nearly identical campaigns and end up with wildly different CPCs. Actual costs depend on things like:
- Your account's Quality Score and history on the platform
- How many competitors are bidding on the same keywords right now
- Where you're targeting, and how narrowly
- Whether your ad creative is relevant enough to earn a lower cost per click
- Your landing page speed and experience score
- Platform algorithm updates, which happen without warning
- Seasonal demand spikes in your industry
We don't warranty any specific CPC, CPA, or ROAS figure shown on this site as achievable or typical. The numbers are reference points, not promises.
Benchmark Data Accuracy
The industry benchmarks on this site come from publicly available research, primarily sources like WordStream's annual reports and similar third-party publisher data. We update them when better figures become available, but there's always a lag between what's published and what's happening in auctions today.
Treat the benchmarks as context, not targets. If the legal industry average CPC is shown as $100, that doesn't mean you'll pay $100. A solo practitioner bidding in a mid-size city might pay $40. A personal injury firm targeting Manhattan keywords might pay $300. Your actual number depends entirely on your account, your competition, and the day.
Platform Affiliation Disclaimer
To be direct: we have no relationship with Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Amazon, or TikTok. We're not affiliated with any of them, not endorsed by them, and we don't have any special access to their internal data or systems.
When we reference platform names, products, or trademarks, we're doing so for educational comparison. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. The data we cite about these platforms comes from the same public reports and documentation anyone can find.
Affiliate Link Disclosure
Some pages on this site link to third-party tools or services. When there's an affiliate relationship, we earn a small commission if you click through and buy. There's no extra cost to you.
We don't hide these. Any page with affiliate links says so at the top of the page, and the links themselves are labeled at the point they appear. They also use rel="nofollow sponsored" per Google Search Central documentation, and the setup follows FTC Endorsement Guide requirements for clear, per-page disclosure. What we won't do is recommend something we don't think is genuinely worth your time just because there's a commission attached. The affiliate relationships don't change our assessments.
Get Real Advice Before Spending Real Money
If you're about to commit a serious budget to paid advertising, talk to a PPC specialist first. This site can help you understand how CPC works, what typical benchmarks look like, and how to think about bidding strategy. But a qualified professional who can actually look at your account, your goals, and your competitive situation will give you advice this site can't.
Also worth noting: Google and Meta change their policies, auction mechanics, and platform features regularly. Always check the platform's current documentation before you rely on anything you read here as the final word.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CostPerClickCalculator.com and its operators aren't liable for any losses arising from your use of this site. That includes wasted ad spend, lost revenue, or business decisions made based on information or calculations from these pages.
You're using this site at your own risk. That's not a brush-off. It's an honest statement about what a free educational resource can and can't be responsible for.
Changes to This Disclaimer
We can update this page at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when it last changed. If you keep using the site after an update, that counts as acceptance of the revised terms.
It's worth checking back occasionally, especially if you're using the site regularly for campaign planning.
